the short version: we do good work, we're upfront about money and timelines, and we expect the same honesty back. the longer version is below — written to be read, not buried.
1. who we are
Avval Studio (“we”, “us”) is a branding and packaging design studio based in Bhopal, India. These terms cover both using this website (avval.in) and engaging us for design work.
By using the site or starting a project with us, you're agreeing to these terms.
2. project engagements
Every project starts with a written proposal — scope, deliverables, timeline, and price. The proposal, once accepted, is the agreement; these terms fill the gaps it doesn't cover.
You'll know the number before any work starts. If scope changes mid-project, we'll re-quote the difference before doing it — no surprise invoices.
Timelines in proposals assume timely feedback and access to decision-makers. Delays on inputs shift delivery dates accordingly.
3. payment
Projects are typically split into an advance and milestone payments, as set out in the proposal. The advance reserves your slot in our schedule.
Invoices are due within the period stated on the invoice. We may pause work on overdue accounts after letting you know.
4. intellectual property
Once a project is paid in full, the agreed final deliverables are yours — full ownership of the approved identity, packaging, or design assets we created for you.
Until full payment, all work remains ours. Unused concepts, explorations, and rejected directions stay ours either way.
Fonts, stock imagery, and other third-party assets are licensed under their own terms — we'll flag anything you need to license directly.
5. portfolio rights
We may showcase completed work — on this site, on social channels, in award submissions — unless we've agreed to confidentiality in writing. If a launch is under embargo, tell us and we'll hold until it's public.
6. revisions & approvals
Each project phase includes the revision rounds stated in the proposal. Your written approval (email counts) closes a phase; reopening an approved phase is new scope.
7. using this website
The content on avval.in — design work, copy, images — belongs to us or our clients. Don't reproduce it commercially without permission.
We aim to keep the site accurate and available but provide it “as is”, without warranties. We're not liable for indirect losses from using it.
8. liability
Our total liability on any project is capped at the fees you've paid us for that project. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses — lost profits, lost data, lost opportunities.
9. governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction.
